Privacy Policy
Brushy Creek Software builds apps that respect your privacy. We collect as little information as possible, we never sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking in our apps.
This policy explains what information our apps and this website handle, why, and what choices you have. It applies to every app published by Brushy Creek Software unless an app has its own privacy notice, in which case that notice takes precedence for that app.
The short version
- Our apps do not require an account.
- Your content stays on your device, or in your own iCloud account if you enable sync.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for marketing.
- We don't include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in our apps.
- You can contact us at any time with questions or to exercise your rights.
Information our apps handle
Content you create
Anything you create or import in our apps, such as texts, audio, notes, settings, and progress, is stored on your device. We do not have access to it. If you turn on iCloud sync, that content is also stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy. We cannot read data in your iCloud account.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only an anonymous confirmation that a purchase is valid. We never see your name, payment details, or billing address.
Crash reports and usage statistics
If you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in your device's Settings, Apple may send us anonymized crash logs and aggregate usage statistics. These do not identify you and are used only to find and fix problems. You can turn this off at any time under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
Support requests
If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply and refer back to the conversation. We don't add you to any mailing list, and we delete support correspondence once it is no longer needed.
This website
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does not use tracking pixels. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and the pages requested, for security and operational purposes. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request for the font files. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQfor details.
Third-party services
Our apps rely on Apple platform services such as the App Store, iCloud, and StoreKit. Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's own policies. We do not embed third-party advertising, analytics, or social media SDKs in our apps.
Children
Our apps and website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
Because your content lives on your device and in your iCloud account, you control it directly. Deleting an app removes its data from your device, and you can manage iCloud data in your device's iCloud settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its use. Since the only personal information we typically hold is support correspondence, the simplest way to exercise these rights is to email us. We will respond within 30 days.
Security
We rely on the security protections built into Apple's platforms, including device encryption and iCloud's encryption in transit and at rest. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we design our apps to avoid holding your data in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If we change how our apps or website handle information, we will update this page and the effective date above. Meaningful changes will also be noted in the affected app's release notes.
